Announcing our 2019-20 season: Coeli et Terra (Heaven and Earth)

On behalf of the Vancouver Cantata Singers, I welcome you to our 62nd season, Coeli et Terra (Heaven and Earth). Our exciting new season is bookended by concerts exploring peace in our world. On November 9, at the time of year when we remember the courage of those who fought in times of war, we offer Friede auf Erden: Peace and Remembrance. Our season concludes in April with The Peaceable Kingdom: Songs of Earth, a concert in honour of Earth Day.

We are delighted to participate once again in Early Music Vancouver’s presentation of Handel’s Messiah with the Pacific Baroque Orchestra and guest music director, Ivars Taurins. Other highlights of the year will be our seventeenth Christmas Reprise and a new work by our composer-in-residence, Craig Galbraith, at our February concert, Tundra: Music of the North

I feel very fortunate to work with Vancouver Cantata Singers in presenting our Coeli et Terra (Heaven and Earth) season. We look forward to sharing it with you!
