VCS announces change to May 2027 concert

The Vancouver Cantata Singers Board of Directors and Management regret to share that guest conductor Tzu-Han Ann Chen is unable to conduct our May concert due to an unforeseen logistical conflict. We are sorry not to be welcoming her to the podium next spring and are presently in the process of arranging new plans for the conclusion of our 26/27 season.

As a result, both the guest conductor and the program for our May concert will change, with details to be determined. At this time, the concert remains scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2027, at Pacific Spirit United Church.

Ticket and subscription sales will remain available as the guest conductor and program are in the process of being finalized. Updates will be communicated to ticketholders when more information is available. Please contact Trevor Mangion, VCS General Manager, at [email protected] with any questions or concerns about this change.

Our February concert is unchanged. Dr. Hyejung Jun will conduct “Serenity and Joy” on Saturday, February 20, 2027, at Pacific Spirit United Church. The program centres on Poulenc’s “Mass in G Major,” alongside contemporary Korean sacred music, Filipino folk melodies, lyrical love songs, and festive Norwegian rhythms.

Tickets and subscriptions are available at vancouvercantatasingers.com. Thank you for your understanding and your continued support of the Vancouver Cantata Singers.
